Article Entertainment, Here's what Twitter thinks of the new version of 'Top Gear': By Sam Haysom2017-03-06 13:31:15 UTC Top Gear has been on a very bumpy ride over the last couple of years. First the original trio left after the BBC decided not to renew Jeremy Clarkson's contract back in 2015. Then new host Chris Evans stepped down after only one season. And now — almost two years after the trouble began with Clarkson's infamous "fracas" — the series has been revamped. Sunday's episode was the first with a new core trio: Chris Harris, Rory Reid, and Matt LeBlanc. Given the largely negative reception the last season received, Sunday's episode was greeted with a fair bit of skepticism. Let's hope this series is better than the first #TopGear — Andrew Ramos Lewis (@AndreewLewis) March 5, 2017 Soon, though, things were looking promising. 10 minutes in and I already know this series is better than the last #TopGear — Amy B (@AmyB8930) March 5, 2017 As the episode ended, people took to Twitter to share their thoughts — and, for the most part, they seemed to like it. Just saw the new #TopGear: Not offensive, not stupid, not bloated by overspending, not bad at all. So better than #TheGrandTour in every way — Julian Power (@JueRobWilPo) March 5, 2017 Have to say that was a very good episode. That Kazakhstan feature was up there with best I've seen! Good work #TopGear — Paul James Wood (@pjwood26) March 5, 2017 Unsurprisingly, there were some dissenting voices. #TopGear ..... an hour of my life I'll never get back !!! Yawn yawn — Greg Black (@gregblack69) March 5, 2017 But overall, the reaction seemed positive. I'm liking it! I've even laughed a little 🙌 Plus.. far less SHOUTY 🙉 which can only be a good thing & @Matt_LeBlanc is a natural #TopGear — Tina ❄️ (@Tinapeg2) March 5, 2017 I can now say that Chris, Rory & Matt are in the same leauge as Jezza & co. Quailty team work, watchable & laughable Tv. #TopGear — Peter Henry Todd (@Peter_H_Todd) March 5, 2017 We'll have to wait for rest of the season — and the ratings — to see whether or not the new Top Gear is a success. But judging by the early reactions, things are looking promising. That's all information about Here's what Twitter thinks of the new version of 'Top Gear': By Sam Haysom2017-03-06 13:31:15 UTC Top Gear has been on a very bumpy ride over the last couple of years
